For the past six years Harvey has taught a summertime week-long songwriting course at La Jeusseliniere in northern France. Places are strictly limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis.

La Jeusseliniere is the farmhouse home of Martin Wyndham-Read and his wife Danni, and a more idyllic setting for a week exploring lyrics, melodies and performance is hard to imagine.

"Well, here I am 41 years old. I've just got back from La Jeuss and I'm sat in my office in Scarborough on the east coast. Harvey says that Scarborough has only one road in and one road out. How pleased I am that the road took me to La Jeuss. I booked a place and then wondered what I'd done. I questioned my ability. Don't. All you need is an open heart and the freedom to take one week of your life, which will undoubtedly change every minute that follows it. I listened, I laughed, I cried, I sang - and I wrote songs.
