“It’s funny, but despite having seen big stadium gigs by the likes of the Rolling Stones or Simple Minds and medium sized arena gigs by countless other bands the gigs I think of with the most fondness are the smaller ones that are so intimate. Harvey Andrews at the Trafalgar in Hednesford (c. 1991) was a milestone in my life, the point at which I decided to like music for what it was rather than trying to be cool and liking what I thought I should like.”
